Overview

The Entrepreneur Loan is designed to support small and medium-sized business owners who require flexible financing to manage daily operations, grow their businesses, and strengthen cash flow. This loan provides accessible funding tailored to the real needs of entrepreneurs operating in various sectors.

Eligibility (Who Can Apply)

This loan is available to:

  • Entrepreneurs and business owners with active businesses

  • Traders and small-to-medium enterprises seeking working capital or business support

Applicants must demonstrate business activity and the ability to repay the loan based on business performance.

Loan Amount

  • TZS 1,000,000 – TZS 20,000,000

Purpose of the Loan

The Entrepreneur Loan may be used to meet various business needs, including:

  • Payment of employee salaries

  • Rent for business premises or offices

  • Payment of business taxes, licenses, or statutory fees

  • Expansion of business operations

  • Strengthening working capital and operational capacity

Loan Tenure

  • Maximum repayment period: Up to 12 months

Repayment Method

  • Monthly installments as agreed with Greenbud Microfinance Limited

Collateral & Loan Charges

To secure the loan, the following may be required:

  • Loan registration

  • Acceptance of a qualified third-party guarantor where applicable

  • A motor vehicle in good condition with valid comprehensive insurance

  • Share certificates from recognized companies or MERMATS

  • Loan arrangement fee of 3%, payable at loan disbursement

  • Installation of a vehicle tracking system (Car Track) where applicable

Required Loan Application Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Fully completed loan application form

  • Valid identification (National ID, Voter’s ID, Passport, or Driving License)

  • Introduction letter from local government authorities (home and business location)

  • Spousal consent (attach marriage certificate or affidavit if unmarried)

  • Guarantee agreement (if the applicant does not have permanent residence in Dar es Salaam or Dodoma, a guarantor with permanent residence is required, supported by water or electricity bills)

  • One passport-size photograph of the applicant and guarantor

  • Proof of business experience, such as:

    • Business license

    • TIN or Tax Clearance Certificate

    • Bank statements covering at least 6 months

  • Income and expenditure records showing business performance

  • Proof of other income sources (if any)

  • Photographs of the business premises and collateral
